Karen Ackerman, 50, of Macon, GA passed away suddenly Wednesday, February 12, 2025. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bridgeway Church 6025 Rogers Road, Lizella, GA with pastor Chris Lones. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service.
Karen worked many years as a hairdresser but she had many creative talents. Her most prized possessions were her children and grandchildren.
Karen is proceeded in death by her father, Johnny G. Hamrick. She is survived by her mother Diane Collier, daughter Kalaylah Riner (Braylon), son Dylan Smith (Emily), son Jonathan Bethel, son Johnny Woodie, son Jaxson Ackerman, sister Pamela Jones (Michael), sister Denise Sutton (Jamie)
5 grandchildren, Gage Riner, Finley Riner, Lakelyn Smith, Elijah Williams and Reyli Smith.
As well as several nieces and nephews.

I remember talking to here of my step dad Dean hamricks phone I explained to her she would be my cousin in law she was a really sweet women and my heart goes out to the family and sending my prayers and love
Karen has been a dear friend to me since elementary school. She is a beautiful soul that will be missed. I know she’s with our Lord and I am in tears right now. She was one of the strongest, sweetest person I’ve ever met. Constantly speaking about her kids. What a run Karen..Hug my parents and my little brother for me. Life is short but you left a lot of love. Love you friend.

I have very fond memories of Karen and myself with Mark planting flowers and vegetables in my Mama Annette’s yard! She sure did have a green thumb! She helped us do so much! I love that girl and I’m so sorry that things worked out the way that they did. Karen loved all of her family, she spoke of them often. She is in a better place now and I just wanted to say that I loved her and she was like a sister to me! Rest in peace Beautiful girl, and keep my brother company! He loved you too!
